A is for Anawarki, Pachakutik’s wise empress.

B is for bird, who warned the twins of doom.

C is for Cusco, the empire’s first city.

D is for daughters, who prayed to the moon.

E is for excellent emeralds,

F for a fox’s friendliness.

G is for glittering gold,

H for Mama Huaco’s happiness.

I is for Inti, god of the sun.

J is for jaguar, who made Cusi cry.

K is for kill, enemies beware.

L is for Lima, where Pachakamaq died.

M is for Machu Picchu, a city of clouds.

N is for Ňusta Willac, a priestess and queen.

O is for ocean, giving fishers their food.

P is for Pachamama, making trees big and green.

Q is for Quito, where Queen Paccha ruled.

R is for Rumiñawi, who hid all the jewels.

S is for Saramama, the mother of maize.

T is for temple, the place she was praised.

U is for universe- the sun, Earth, moon and stars.

V is for volcanoes, Imbabura and his bride.

W is for walls, Inca-tastic jigsaws of stones.

X is for expanding empire- it stretched far and wide.

Y is for Yana Urcu, who his parents adored.

Z is for zigzags, on clothes that they wore.
